The Company

Renascent LLC, based in San Diego, CA, provides media solutions primarily to small and medium sized organizations. Renascent seeks to manage all of its clients’ creative media needs. It offers an entire range of services to its clients, spanning from websites, hosting, and email marketing to branding, promotions, print materials, and more.

Founders Mark Griffo and Francis Pedraza created Renascent in 2008 to address the tremendous demand for new media in the 21st century. Corporations, non-profits, and professionals increasingly feel the need to project their identity to a new audience. The name Renascent stands for rebirth, renewal – to spring again into vigor and life – that is precisely the service we offer to our clients’ brand image and identity. 

Before taking a project, our senior management meets with clients to discover their vision and identity. Throughout the project, Renascent keeps interacting closely with clients because our work revolves around realizing their desires.

Founders

Mark Griffo

With over five years of experience in design, Mark Griffo is at the pinnacle of creative expertise. Mark served as creative director of U Media Concepts from 2005-07 and TheCall from 2007-08. In his career, Mark produced a national advertising campaign and visual content for stadium conferences attended by upwards of twenty thousand. Mark managed teams of designers and programmers, adeptly handling dozens of projects while adding his touch of brilliance to the final product – “making his mark,” as he likes to put it. From developing complex corporate websites to creating promotional campaigns, Mark has done it all. Mark provides the creative genius behind Renascent; he oversees the production of all content.

Mark lives in San Marcos, CA, plays six musical instruments and surfs regularly in Cardiff. He is very close to his brother Daniel, sisters, Autumn & Amber, parents, Mark and Deborah, and dog, Beamer, who all live close by. Mark loves to travel abroad and does so at every opportunity. Francis Pedraza

A native of Carlsbad, CA, Francis Pedraza brings his sales and business experience to Renascent. He has worked in the California State Senate as a district representative (2006-07), as an assistant to the Vice President and President of Quality Discount Ice Cream Distributors (2003, 08), as an assistant to the owner of TRIA Systems (2007,08). Francis also served an appointed term on the Oceanside Youth Commission.

Francis currently studies economics, history, and government at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY (3.83 GPA). A national speech and debate champion in 2005, Francis has spoken to audiences in the thousands on policy issues, made television and radio appearances, and published numerous essays. He is an editor of the Cornell International Affairs Review. A varsity swimmer in high school and a black belt martial artist (Hanakido), Francis is in Marine Corps ROTC, and likes to hike, run, or surf for fun. Francis’ really enjoys great fiction, international travel, and investing in the stock market.

Francis’ loves his mother, and her Persian cuisine, his sister, Leila, and her French pastries, his father, Ric, and his stock tips, and his country, the United States, and its free markets. Francis has close relationships with his cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents in the San Diego area as well as those relatives in Europe and the rest of the US.
